Correct sampling of potatoes requires joint
efforts

Samples of potatoes for potatoes fries which are taken from the farmer often deviate from the quality specifications required by the factory. As a result, delivered batches are sometimes not processed. If the quality specifications at the farmer and at the factory were more uniform, the work process would have been more efficient. This is the aim of the AKK-research project 'Pieper Profijt', carried out by Wageningen University and ZLTO. This project aims to find out when is the best time to take samples at the farmer's so as to reduce costs due to mismatches.
