International supply chain projects

Besides projects in The Netherlands, EC-Pack is involved in international supply chain projects as well.  More and more companies, institutes and political organisations abroad make use of the experience and knowledge accumulated inside our organisation. Some recent international projects are:

World Fresh Agri-supply Chain (Thailand)
Fresh Fish Trade & Track (China)
Value Added Centres (India)

World Fresh Agri-supply Chain (Thailand)
This project explores the possibilities of incorporating an integrated agri-chain programme, from farm to consumer. The project is centred on the Tops/Ahold cooled distribution centre 'World Fresh' in Bangkok. The goal of the project is to ensure that fresh products bought daily by millions of Thai citizens are of good quality, safe,  fresh and price-competitive.

Fresh Fish Trade & Track (China)
A feasibility study was conducted into the logistic and market opportunities of a Chinese supply chain for fresh fish. This study aims to initiate the realisation of a distribution chain for fresh fishery products, including an auction and one or more distribution centres. The fresh fish supply chain will incorporate all links starting from catching and ending with the cooled transportation to supermarkets, restaurants and other markets.

Value Added Centres (India)
This project investigates the feasibility and optimal configuration of an exhanced supply chain structure for fresh fruits and vegetables in India with a Value Added Centre (VAC) as central link. During this study, the exact role of the VAC and its functions are examined in order to guarantee the supply of high quality fresh fruits and vegetables.
